Basic navigation and searching for data

Search methods

You can search by:

  • Names and abbreviations of companies (Ticker or RIC)
  • Descriptive terms related to companies or industries
  • Industry codes
  • Natural Language Search - ask questions in natural language. The autosuggest feature will interpret your entry and provide relevant results
  • For in-depth economic indicators, look for country guides by searching for country names.

Exporting data

Using Excel add-in

There are several ways you can find and export data from LSEG Workspace using the Excel add-in. These helpful links from LSEG Learning Centre will help you to make the most out of Excel add-in. Sign-in is required.

 Mac users: Please note that the Excel add-in is only available for terminals with Windows. Data can also be downloaded using the Screener from the LSEG Workspace web interface.

One of the main benefits of installing the LSEG Workspace desktop application is access to the LSEG Workspace Excel Add-in. The Excel add-in is available only for terminals with Windows. For more information, refer to the 'Excel Add-in' tab.

Accessing LSEG Workspace through the web is less complex, and can be done on Apple devices. There are apps such as Screener that will help you to retrieve various sets of data.
